Q and A

Powered Mixer - Posted by: Daryl Williams on 10/25/2012
Can I use a 600 or 800 watt powered mixer with yamaha speakers that are 500 watt or will I blow the speakers?
RE: Powered Mixer - Posted by: Dana Daniel on 10/25/2012
Hello. If you have Yamaha Club series speakers, you will need a larger mixer for these. Something like the PMP1680 if you are looking at Behringer. The PMP2000 is only 225 watts at 8 ohms, which is less than half needed. This is a big question with many answers. Please call Dana at 1-800-925-5776 and I will help you with the math. Thank you.
