The pads are exceptionally close to that of an acoustic kit, giving electronic drummers a responsive playing experience that mirrors that of an acoustic kit. In fact, the world's top drummers worked with Yamaha to develop the DTX-PADs, ensuring they feel amazing.

But the pad is only half the battle, and the DTX700 trigger module provides authentic acoustic drum sounds that are great for any genre. In fact, Yamaha packed the DTX700 with high-quality drum sounds (many of which are Yamaha acoustic kits) along with sounds from the MOTID XF synthesizer. Even the smallest details are represented, all the way down to the snare buzz! If you have your own sounds you want to add to the mix, use a thumb drive to add your faves to the DTX700K module. 

Not just a superb performance tool, the DTX790K has an aux input, allowing you to jam along with your MP3 player. Plus, Yamaha's popular groove tools are not only easy and fun to use, but actually help you become a better drummer. The DTX790K has a collection of training functions including Groove Check, a tool that displays whether you are playing early or late, so you can more easily correct undesirable habits. Practice has never been this much fun!
