The Korg MR2000S goes beyond the DSD 2.8 MHz standard to provide the finest digital recording format available - with an astounding 5.6 MHz sample rate. The result is a master/archive recording that sounds remarkable, preserving all of the detail and dynamic range of the original recording, even during the quietest passages. In normal digital recording, the bit-depth and sample rate are chosen before recording begins, so there is no way to improve upon the finished recording. With the MR2000S, multiple masters can be made from the 1-bit archive, with the bit-depth and sample rate chosen to match the current project.
