Job Title:  Project Superintendent

Class:  Full-Time

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt

Reports to:  Installation Manager

 

General Description:  The Project Superintendent will supervise and direct the work of a team of technicians and/or subcontractors during the installation of contracted audio, video, and lighting integrated systems. It is the job of the Project Superintendent to ensure established project design, scope, and deadlines are met.  Extensive travel is required.

Essential Job Duties:  

  • Supervise and direct the work of technicians to ensure proper scope of work
  • Coordinate with general and electrical contractors, and other trades concerning project status
  • Read and decipher blueprints and schematics
  • Provide daily progress reports concerning jobsite installation progress
  • Use basic hand and power tools properly and safely
  • Ensure technicians adhere to all safety rules, procedures, and use of proper PPE gear
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise
  • Quickly process information, prioritize job tasks and meet deadlines
  • Pull wire and cable, solder and terminate wires and cables
  • Work cooperatively and effectively within the team
  • Report on-site risks and any other issues that need immediate attention to the Project Manager to ensure efficient, timely resolution in compliance with project time-line and budget parameters
  • Ensure the accuracy of your timecard which includes clocking in and out of the correct job assignment
  • Drive company vehicles which requires a DOT commercial driver's medical certificate
  • Maintain a clean driving record and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests for project security clearance at all times as requested by customers and clients
  • Reconcile purchases made with company credit card in a timely manner
  • Must be able to travel to job sites throughout the country
  • Perform work from elevated heights and lift heavy equipment
  • Other duties of a similar nature and level may also be assigned

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  •  ESPA and/or CTS certification is required or be attained within 6 months of employment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess OSHA 10 Construction Safety certification (OSHA 30 preferred)
  • The ability to work effectively as a team lead, direct and supervise the work of others
  • The ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the installation of A/V/L systems
  • Considerable knowledge of low voltage electronicsand basic construction skills 
  • DOT commercial driver's medical certificate

 

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalence; and two years of experience in commercial installation of audio, video and lighting integrated systems.

Physical demands and work environment:

Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, reach and push with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb and balance.  Work requires ability to perform job duties on scaffolding, ladders and at various heights as well as extensive overhead motion required to install equipment. Work requires ability to lift fifty pounds on a daily basis and be exposed to warm and cold environments.  Clean driving record, background check, and drug testing required.

Job Title:         Sales Representative – All Pro Express

General Description:

The All Pro Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting, estimating, presenting solutions and selling integrated audio, video and lighting systems to small businesses within an assigned regional territory.  The qualified candidate must also attain required sales revenue goals while maintaining professional relationships with our customers.   

Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsible for prospect identification, cultivating and closing new business within the assigned vertical business segment
  • Maintain positive interaction with current customers to ensure long-term relationships
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets within established timeframe
  • Effectively track sales, prospecting activities, and create timely status reports
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Write and submit professional proposals
  • Promote All Pro’s products and services in a professional manner
  • Timely and accurate submittal of sales orders and job notes for appropriate order processing and use by our technical staff
  • Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations to clients
  • Stay abreast of new developments, trends and changes in the AVL industry

Education and Experience
:

The All Pro Express Sales Representative shall possess a four-year degree from an accredited university and an equivalent combination of education and experience in the field of Audio, Video and Lighting equipment.  An effective candidate should possess knowledge of customer relations, communications and project management.  AVIXA CTS or CTS-D is preferred but not required.

The Installation Technician will install audio, video, and lighting integrated systems in commercial venues, houses of worship, governmental buildings and businesses throughout the country while working as a productive team member to meet established project design and deadlines. Extensive overnight travel is required. Working over 40 hours in a work week may also be required.

Essential Job Duties:   
 
  • Ability to follow directions given by the Lead Technician or Project Manager to ensure proper scope of work
  • Proficient in the ability to read and decipher blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools
  • Considerable skill in soldering techniques
  • Strong trouble shooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly process information, prioritize job tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience with various techniques used in pulling wire and cable
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively within a team
  • Responsible for reporting on-site risks and issues to the Lead Technician to ensure efficient resolution and comply with project time-line and budget
  • Responsible for keeping track of personal timecard which includes clocking in and out of the correct job assignment

The Acoustics Designer is responsible for the design, quoting, administration and occasional on-site commissioning for acoustics projects. The Acoustics Designer will conduct on-site acoustic measurements and coordinate acquisition and rental of necessary tools to do so. The Acoustics Designer will prepare necessary reports, provide technical input, suggest technical alternatives, and develop cost estimates as possible. The Acoustics Designer works closely with the Salesperson and the Project Manager to ensure the project design meets client expectations and that project deadlines and budget parameters are met. The Acoustics Designer is responsible for the design, quoting, administration and occasional on-site commissioning for acoustics projects.  The Acoustics Designer will conduct on-site measurements,  prepare subsequent reports, provide technical input, recommend technical alternatives, and develop cost estimates.  The Acoustics Designer works closely with the sales team and project manager to ensure the project design meets all client expectations relating to the project timeline and budgetary parameters. The Acoustics Designer also has the responsibility to oversee the commissioning and post-construction testing of projects where those services are required. The Acoustics Designer must maintain a comprehensive knowledge of applicable products, best practices, design calculations, standard construction pricing and modeling to effectively develop technical solutions and conceptual design specifications for prospective customers. 

Overnight travel is required on an infrequent basis but can vary based on workload demands. 

 


Essential Job Duties: 

  • Interface with prospects and clients to clarify intent and/or review project documentation
  • Complete project designs based on client requirements, desires and budgets
  • Meet with sales staff to discuss client needs and review completed designs
  • Complete acoustic analysis reports, project scopes and acoustics drawings
  • Oversee the ordering of material
  • Communicate progress with Project Manager and Salesperson throughout the project’s life
  • Participate in periodic site visits and walk-throughs as required and issue subsequent documentation on design issues or construction punch list items.
  • Create and/or respond to RFI’s in a timely fashion
  • Coordinate with Project Manager on specific needs for acoustics commissioning
  • Participate in commissioning in coordination with the Project Manager when necessary
  • Attend final walk-thru with Project Manager, Customer and/or Salesperson when requested
  • Complete administrative tasks, such as credit card reconciliations, travel booking, etc.
  • Execute all construction completion reports to measure progress and final close out of job
  • Responsible for ongoing training, continuing education to keep current with available solutions, technical advancement and design trends


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Knowledge of acoustic products, best practices, calculations, and typical construction pricing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel
  • Ability to plan, organize and implement to ensure projects are completed by a specific date
  • Basic skill level in AutoCAD LT and Blue Beam
  • Experience and proficiency with acoustic modeling software
  • The ability to create, read and effectively interpret general business documents
  • Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations
  • Valid and current driver’s license


Education and Experience

The Designer shall possess a bachelor’s degree and 3 years industry experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required to successfully perform the essential job duties of this position. The Acoustics Designer should possess knowledge of customer relations and communications, project management, and job costing.

Employee will be required to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, climb, use hands and fingers, reach, lift and push with hands and arms. Employee is frequently required to type, talk and hear.
