Project Superintendent

Job Title:  Project Superintendent

Class:  Full-Time

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt

Reports to:  Installation Manager

 

General Description:  The Project Superintendent will supervise and direct the work of a team of technicians and/or subcontractors during the installation of contracted audio, video, and lighting integrated systems. It is the job of the Project Superintendent to ensure established project design, scope, and deadlines are met.  Extensive travel is required.

Essential Job Duties:  

  • Supervise and direct the work of technicians to ensure proper scope of work
  • Coordinate with general and electrical contractors, and other trades concerning project status
  • Read and decipher blueprints and schematics
  • Provide daily progress reports concerning jobsite installation progress
  • Use basic hand and power tools properly and safely
  • Ensure technicians adhere to all safety rules, procedures, and use of proper PPE gear
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot and resolve problems as they arise
  • Quickly process information, prioritize job tasks and meet deadlines
  • Pull wire and cable, solder and terminate wires and cables
  • Work cooperatively and effectively within the team
  • Report on-site risks and any other issues that need immediate attention to the Project Manager to ensure efficient, timely resolution in compliance with project time-line and budget parameters
  • Ensure the accuracy of your timecard which includes clocking in and out of the correct job assignment
  • Drive company vehicles which requires a DOT commercial driver's medical certificate
  • Maintain a clean driving record and the ability to pass background checks and drug tests for project security clearance at all times as requested by customers and clients
  • Reconcile purchases made with company credit card in a timely manner
  • Must be able to travel to job sites throughout the country
  • Perform work from elevated heights and lift heavy equipment
  • Other duties of a similar nature and level may also be assigned

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  •  ESPA and/or CTS certification is required or be attained within 6 months of employment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess OSHA 10 Construction Safety certification (OSHA 30 preferred)
  • The ability to work effectively as a team lead, direct and supervise the work of others
  • The ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the installation of A/V/L systems
  • Considerable knowledge of low voltage electronicsand basic construction skills 
  • DOT commercial driver's medical certificate

 

Education and Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalence; and two years of experience in commercial installation of audio, video and lighting integrated systems.

Physical demands and work environment:

Employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, reach and push with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit, climb and balance.  Work requires ability to perform job duties on scaffolding, ladders and at various heights as well as extensive overhead motion required to install equipment. Work requires ability to lift fifty pounds on a daily basis and be exposed to warm and cold environments.  Clean driving record, background check, and drug testing required.

Catalog Sales Consultant

Job Title: Catalog Sales Consultant

General Description: The Catalog Sales Consultant will receive and make phone calls in order to meet and exceed established sales goals.  Considerable knowledge of pro audio, video and lighting equipment, gear and accessories is needed as well as exceptional customer service abilities. The Catalog Sales Consultant is occasionally required to assist customers in the retail sales area.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Sell audio, video, and lighting equipment, gear and accessories
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales goals
  • Determine customers’ needs and provide design solutions by asking the appropriate questions
  • Design and generate pricing quotes for small projects
  • Assist with promotional marketing
  • Assist with the set-up of visual displays in the retail sales area when needed
  • Maintain quota of incoming and outbound sales calls
  • Facilitate the sale from initial contact to delivery
  • Stay abreast of new A/V/L equipment, gear and accessories and industry trends
  • Write routine reports and correspondence
  • Must be able to negotiate effectively with customers
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries and effectively resolve any complaints; confer with manager when needed
  • Must be self-motivated in order to complete duties independently

Regional Sales Manager-Integrated Systems

Job Title:        Regional Sales Manager, Integrated Systems

Reports To:   National Sales Manager, Integrated Systems

General Description:

Responsible for selling AVL integrated systems while adhering to the goals and objectives established by the National Sales Manager. The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for meeting sales revenue goals, developing and maintaining valued customer relationships, expanding the company's current customer base within an assigned geographic region, and developing and maintaining professional selling skills. This position requires a considerable amount of travel.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Responsible for servicing existing client base while generating new business to expand current customer base within the assigned geographic region.
  • Providing timely and accurate responses to customers' requests for information.
  • Responsible for writing and submitting professional proposals.
  • Follow up on all sales leads in a timely and effective manner.
  • Promote All Pro and the products and services that we offered.
  • Track and provide accurate sales information to company management.
  • Provide accurate and timely submittal of sales orders and job notes to appropriate order processing and technical staff.
  • Make sales presentations to customers and management as requested.
  • Acquire and maintain sound knowledge of all product lines and services offered.
  • Work with management to develop a competitive pricing structure.
  • Research and obtain information on position specific training opportunities.

Installation Technician

Job Title:  Installation Technician

General Description: 

The Installation Technician will install audio, video, and lighting integrated systems in commercial venues, houses of worship, governmental buildings and businesses throughout the country while working as a productive team member to meet established project design and deadlines.

Essential Job Duties:  
  • Ability to follow directions given by the Lead Technician or Project Manager to ensure proper scope of work
  • Proficient in the ability to read and decipher blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools
  • Considerable skill in soldering techniques
  • Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
  • Ability to quickly process information, prioritize job tasks and meet deadlines
  • Experience with various techniques used in pulling wire and cable
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively within a team
  • Responsible for reporting on-site risks and issues to the Lead Technician to ensure efficient resolution and comply with project time-line and budget
  • Responsible for keeping track of personal timecard which includes clocking in and out of the correct job assignment

    System Designer

    Job Title:         Systems Designer
    Class:               Regular, Full-Time
    FLSA Status:   Exempt
    Reports to:    Systems Design Manager


    General Description:

    The Systems Designer is responsible for the design of integrated audio, video and
    lighting systems.  The Systems Designer will provide technical input, suggest technical alternatives, and  develop cost estimates.  The Systems Designer works closely with the Salesperson and the Project Manager to ensure the project design meets client expectations and that project deadlines and budget parameters are met. The Systems Designer must maintain a comprehensive knowledge of A/V/L systems to develop technical solutions and conceptual design specifications that meet customer requirements.  This position may require occasional out of town travel.

    Essential Job Duties:
     
    • Schedule meeting or phone call with Salesperson within 24 hours of task assigned
    • Discuss project with Salesperson in order to understand complete scope of project
    • Meet with or contact Salesperson to review expected design
    • Set up initial design package in Inxsql within designated time frame
    • Issue Inxsql quote within designated time frame with a “C#” account assigned to it
    • Deliver Inxsql quote to Salesperson via SRC
    • Once proposal is accepted, Designer must be notified with a Letter of Intent
    • Once letter of Intent is received, proceed with project drawings and Technical Scope of Work documents
    • Responsible for meeting with Salesperson and Customer to review and approve prints
    • Send design to drafting for initial draft
    • Red lines done and returned to drafting for corrections, repeat this process as needed
    • Signed contract must be reviewed upon receipt
    • Must have knowledge of any design issue once contract is signed and prior to prints being completed
    • Responsible for completed prints being reviewed and signed off on by Design Manager, Salesperson and Project Manager if possible
    • Attend on-site meeting with Customer, Salesperson and Project Manager as needed
    • Designer must return prints to drafting for “prints release”
    • Designer to request Project Manager to be assigned at production meeting
    • Oversee the ordering of equipment after meeting with Salesperson and Project Manager
    • Responsible for insuring that all designs have “APS release for Construction Drawings”
    • Designer will communicate progress of project with Project Manager and Salesperson
    • Participate in periodic site visits and walk-thru
    • Responsible for communicating any type of quality control issues observed from walk-thru with Project Manager
    • Send and receive direction from job contact via RFI’s with necessary information from Project Manager
    • Coordinate with Project Manager for on-site programming and system finalization and tuning if needed
    • Assist with training customer on the use of the system if needed
    • Attend final walk-thru with Salesperson, Customer and Project Manager
    • Responsible for reviewing American Express bill and all related project expenses weekly and communicating with Salesperson and Project Manager
    • Complete as-builts and close out documents in coordination with Project Manager
    • Coordinate and maintain communication with Project Manager on all phases of the project
    • Must be aware of any and all change orders on the project and assist Salesperson with facilitating the changes
    • Responsible for ongoing training and continuing education to keep current with A/V/L equipment, technical information and design trends
    • Other duties of a similar nature and level may be assigned.

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
     
    • Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups
    • CTS and CTS-D certifications are desirable
    • Considerable knowledge of all types of professional audio, video, and lighting equipment,
    • controls and gear
    • Strong written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
    • Considerable knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Windows, Word and Excel
